Meet Danai Ruga | The Tainted Prince #RHOSaene #Romance #TeaserTuesday

Hey, sweeties. Hope your September is going well.

It occured to me that The Tainted Prince is out this month and while you've met Prince Zawadi in other stories, you haven't yet met his love match.

If you've read Saving Her Guard, then you've seen the exclusive preview to chapter one of The Tainted Prince. But Danai didn't make an appearance in it.

So let's say hello to Danai with a teaser from the book. Enjoy.

Danai Ruga navigated around the partygoers, her gaze sweeping the spacious ballroom.

Finally, she spotted the target, a dark-skinned man in a half-undone maroon silk shirt and a gold-chained medallion glittering against his oiled chest. He lounged on a sofa, slacks-clad legs spread wide, arms draped on women in skimpy clothes. His table was covered with bottles and flutes of champagne.

For a man who was supposed to be in exile, Kweku Doona wasn’t doing much hiding within the city he’d spent the last few weeks. The son of the former president of Wanai, he was accused of atrocities, including mass murder and ethnic cleansing. His father was currently under house arrest awaiting trial, and Kweku had slipped out of the country with other members of his family.

Danai had been part of the team from Bagumi sent into Wanai to gather evidence about the crimes against humanity. Appalled by what she’d seen happening to fellow Africans, she’d wanted to go hunt the Doonas herself.

A month ago, her boss, Razi Hamadou, informed her of a new op to ‘search and grab’ Mr Doona. So here she was.

“I’ve got eyes on Dingo,” she said for the tiny microphone attached to her dress, which looked like a button.

Dingo was the code name they used for the target, Kweku.

Her colleague, Vaugh, attired in a black tuxedo, stood at the edge of the sleek bar. He glanced at her and gave an almost imperceptible nod.

Danai only saw it because she stared at him, and they’d worked together long enough to pick up body language others would miss.

This was her cue to move in.

Danai sashayed towards Kweku. Her athletic figure was wrapped in a knee-length body-hugging black dress. It was stretchy enough to allow freedom of motion when she needed to move fast. With minimal makeup on her face—lip gloss and mascara—her natural hair was in neat cornrows beneath the tresses of front-lace weave wrapped into an elegant bun at her nape.

She ignored the pain from the three-inch stilettos pinching her feet.

It couldn’t be helped, though.

In her relaxed state, she lived in tank tops and jeans, wore overalls while getting greasy under damaged cars at her dad’s mechanic shop or strapped on leathers when she rode her bike.

But tonight, she had to be glammed up and dressed to impress like all the other people at the party. Or for her, dressed to attract one person. She’d worn similar clothing to what the target liked in his women. She had studied his dossier and learned everything about him to help her accomplish her mission.

Tonight, was about work. So uncomfortable shoes came with the territory as an undercover agent.
