Feeling a surge of energy, she turned to Nero with a smile. “You really outdid yourself. Brazilian food and music all in one. I haven’t experienced anything like this in so long. Just being here now brings back so many good memories.”
"I'm glad you love it," he said with a grin on his face.
As she breathed in the atmosphere, she felt a sense of rejuvenation, reminiscent of her carefree days before marriage and motherhood. A time when she’d been truly carefree.
This place exceeded all of her expectations, with its captivating ambiance. The food was absolutely delicious, the music was lively, and the overall atmosphere was incredible. And, without a doubt, the company was exceptional.
"So why is a beautiful woman like you single?" he asked, his eyes fixed on her as she savoured the rich, chocolatey taste of the Brigadeirao.
Her cheeks heated as she tilted her head. The way he called her beautiful still caught her off guard, leaving her torn between accepting the compliment and distrusting his sincerity.
His gaze held an undeniable conviction, revealing his genuine belief. A warm, comforting feeling settled in her heart.
"I don't know," she muttered, trailing off into a hesitant silence. As they sipped on the bottle of prosecco, her inhibitions melted away, allowing her to speak openly. A confident smirk played on her lips, "Some men are intimidated by me."
"I wonder why?" he teased, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. With a graceful motion, he tilted his head and took a sip from his flute, his throat bobbing as he swallowed.
“Hey, it’s not my fault if they are not man enough to handle me.”
“True.”
“But you’re not afraid of me.”
With a gentle touch, he lifted her hand to his lips, causing a pleasurable shiver to run down her spine and settle at her most sensitive spot. "No," he replied confidently, "I'm not intimidated by you. I’m man enough for you."
His eyes glowed with tenderness as he watched her, causing her heart to constrict in her chest.
"You are?" she asked, her throat dry as her imagination sparked to life, anticipation fluttering in her belly.
“I am. You are so beautiful I want to put my hands all over you. Dance with me.” He stood, extending his hand to her, and she joined him.
They joined the lively crowd and were soon swept away by the rhythmic beats of the samba music. Within moments, she was in sync with the music as they gracefully spun around the dance floor. Nero's dance routine was mesmerizing, showcasing his extraordinary talent as he seamlessly blended salsa and rumba into his performance.
